Considering that many schools in Romania are in urgent need of help in being restored and equipped so as to properly carry out class sessions, the Romanian Orthodox Church is engaged in solving this difficult situation.
Thus, at the proposal of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the Standing Church National Council, during its session held Thursday, September 15, 2016, recommended to all dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate to contribute concretely, through deaneries, parishes and monasteries, and in cooperation with local city halls and school inspectorates, by providing building materials, volunteer work and financial aid in order to renovate and equip schools that cannot currently function properly.
The Romanian Patriarchate will be informed regularly by diocesan centers about the pace and nature of the support offered to these schools.
The Romanian Orthodox Church will continue to contribute, according to her means, in order to solve the problems facing Romanian schools today.
